Why can't Wayne Northrup come back - I wouldn't care if they swapped ROman over mid sentence.
I would love to have Wayne back, but AT THIS MOMENT,
I just don't see how they could possible bring him back as
Roman Brady. I don't care if he is. Sounds like I am a heretic
That just not the case I love Wayne dearly but once they turned him
into an ogre with the Carrie drama, I would rather learn that that man
was truly the imposter instead of Roman II, and let Wayne move on AS
another character, another woman, another love.

Given the state of Tony/Andre/Thaao I wouldn't be against WN Roman reuniting with Anna.

I loved when the two of them were on the run together.

That was definitely fun, But I really don't see Tony/Andre/Thaao fitting with Kate in the
longer term and I would love to see Tanna back together. That was my favorite pairing
with Tony

Besides which if he were Roman Brady there is just no way I can picture Carrie (CC)
truly was ever his daughter. Christie Clark belongs back in a story with Drake as her dad.
They were the best father daughter team on Days I'm just a interested in the families
that Days has to offer, as I am any individual couple or character. That's days at
it's best. Without a doubt Wayne's story with Andrea Barber was so precious.
But Andrea not coming back as Carrie. Christie Clark has taken possession of the
role a long time ago

Seriously, Days is kicking ass right now and really starting to fire on all cylinders. I really loved the Rolf reveal. The Kate, Roman, John, Marlena scenes were excellent. Loved them discussing the past deeds Rolf has done. Ron sure did his homework. And Lauren and Deidre nailed their scene together. Loved the tears. I’m so excited for Sami’s return tomorrow to really kick this into high gear.

And Ron was so smart to climax the Brady, Nicole, and Eric storyline at the sametime. It’s so nice to have 2 exciting storylines going on. Ari and Eric did fantastic work today. The dialog was so good. I especially loved the line from Brady about thinking he’d finally found the love of his life with his best friend after Theresa and Kristen..Can’t wait for the blackmail angle to come into play!!

Bonnie and Victor was a hoot. Loved the “you gotta put a ring on it line.” There is no way Victor will willingly do this. He’s gotta do it to set Bonnie up. I’m just excited for Steve and Kayla to join this story next week as it nears its end.

Julie and Chloe were fun as well. I’m loving that Ron is using Chloe. She really is a great supporting character who is very familiar with Days fans..

Haven't read the thread yet, so I'm probably repeating a lot of stuff.

So...it looks like a chunk of the Chloe/Julie story got cut today -- the stuff with Julie/Maggie and the stuff with Parker/Chloe. Not a big loss, but it is weird to me how Parker has essentially been forgotten.

Eric M. was good in his scenes today, but I just fail to see how Brady can be a leading man when he acts like an abusive, controlling asshat. Yes, he has a right to be angry with Nicole, but he was just giving me creepy abuser vibes today during a lot of his reaction shots. Unless he's supposed to be a full-time villain, that's not how you write a viable romantic lead, IMO.

The Rolf reveal was okay. I really liked Marlena's slow realization that Will could very well be alive. Other than that, though, there was just something missing -- some extra drama or punch -- to those scenes. I'm all for characters talking things out, but the way it played was kind of boring. Maybe it was the setting or Josh's typically bad acting, but I wanted something more.

Bonnie/Victor...meh.

This was an AWESOME episode! Solid writing and performances all across the board.

The Brady/Nicole scenes were really tense. EM has really elevated himself with this material. It makes me a little bit sad that this triangle won't be able to play out longer, because it's quickly become my favorite triangle since Chad/Abby/Ben. I don't necessarily feel sorry for anybody involved, which I think makes things even more interesting.

Chloe and Julie (and "Club Chloe") were a perfect comic backdrop to the rest of the drama going on in this episode. I love that Ron has used the club as a way of making both characters feel more crucial to the canvas again. I hope this is just the beginning of many scenes of Chloe and Julie clashing and working together to run the club.

Unpopular opinion, but Bonnie Lockhart slays me these days and is one of the best reasons to watch Days. She's even done the impossible - make me care about Victor/Maggie again. I don't really have investment in them as a couple, but I'm actually excited to how this is all going to affect them in the long run. I'm going to miss Bonnie!

The Rolf reveal was way too good. I LOVE all the mentions to the things Rolf has done and the fact that Roman, Kate, John, and Marlena were all equally involved in the conversation. And don't even get me started on that Kate/Marlena scene. LK and DH were so amazing together that I found myself tearing up. If this is even a slice of what Ron has in store for us, it's going to be a crazy ride!

This Marlena/Kate moment.

If only they played them up as rivals more, this kind of scene would be even better.
Agreed, I hate BFF Marlena & Kate, even if they share a grandchild

I prefer them with opposing POV & real tensions in the mix
They share two grandchildren: Will and Allie.

Okay episode.

The Brady/Nicole scenes were uncomfortable to watch, it was well-written and acted but really ugly. The way Brady talked to Nicole makes me believe that he didn't really love her. I'm not sure if Brady knows what love really is. I think he was in love with Chloe all of those years ago when Kyle Lowder was playing him. But everything after that, I'm not sure. He just gets infatuated with another women every year and loses his shit when it doesn't work out. I wasn't a big fan of Brady before that storyline but Ron really threw him under the bus and I actually despise him now. If I'm supposed to love Brady again in a few weeks, I don't know if I can.

The talk at the pub about Rolf was nice, I really enjoyed it. Not much else to say, except that this storyline is well executed so far.

I liked that there was some movement with Bonnie/Victor today but I think it's ridiculous that Bonnie thinks Victor will just do what he says. She doesn't even have a recording of that conversation with Xander. I like Judi as Bonnie but I will be relieved when this story ends, honestly.

Chloe/Julie was filler but good filler. Maybe they should keep the name "Club TBD" because I'm probably going to keep calling the place that way, it's not a great name but I'm used to it.

Wayne Northrop is who got me hooked on days back in December, 1981. To this day as much as I have been watching Days, I still can't take JT as Roman. He'll always be Chris Kosicheck. I think Wayne's chemistry with Doc, John was tremendous. I can just imagine him with Greg Vaughn. Wayne is one great actor. I just hated what they did with his character when he came back in 91. That was great acting back in the day with Deidre, Wayne & Drake. JMO

I loved Brady. I'm excited as to what he does next.

I'm also enjoying Chloe and Julie.

Bonnie was entertaining today, but she can leave anytime now. I do enjoy Victor's wtf are you doing expressions!

I always thought EJ became more leading man once they semi-reformed in and made him more "grey" and not all dark. They seem to be doing the opposite with Brady.

A little late but here goes

I agree with the discussion around Eric having come with Nicole to face Brady. I'm really curious for Eric and Brady to be face to face after this. Nicole should have run for the hills yesterday- that's abusive husband territory from Brady.

Chloe and Julie remain enjoyable. What a dumb cut of the Parker stuff though. Julie guilting Chloe about Doug was great

Bonnie Victor Maggie. If only I thought Maggie and Victor split for good. I'd be cheering.

The Will stuff. I really enjoyed how that played out. I have no issue with roman being there but I thought Josh brought down the scenes. He was terrible. I really enjoyed the use of history- Kate calling John when she heard was a nice touch too. Marlena's first reaction to hearing it was a John enemy cracked me up. I've really enjoyed this all hands on deck approach to finding Will and now we have the ISA involved. It would have been interesting to see Marlena hestitate to involve them considering she hates them but also knowing they can really help here. Really happy Marlena and Kate got that moment too. John's last line about bringing Will home was great too.

I will say this. I'm enjoying the will story because it's a family/characters I like. I do get how this would not be pleasant if you're not invested in will though. .

I was out yesterday so I didn't have a chance to watch the show until today.

It was a very good show.

Even though Rotox was present, I felt the scenes in the Pub with Kate, Marlena, John and Ro were excellent. The dialogue was great and seemed very natural in response to what is going on. I loved that RC put in a short scene showing Marlena calling Sami. Details like that really make the story flow.

BonBon and Vic were not bad. Though I am weary of BonBon, I am all for breaking up Maggie and Victor. I despise them together. It is really great to still have John Anniston. He is getting up there but I have this love/sometimes hate relationship with Victor. It is good to have an older gentleman on the show with longevity and Victor is the only one that fits the bill in the aged grandfather category. It's a pity Shawn Sr. had to die since the actor left the show. Grandpas are an important part of storytelling about families, imo.

The Brady/Nicole scenes were great. I know many people hate Brady and I get tired of his go-to responses but in this instance I can feel for him and relate to his feelings of betrayal. Simpering, wimpering Nicole is detestable to me. She had no problem sleeping with Eric several times, even spending the night, so she just needs to own it. If she had honor or integrity, she wouldn't have done what she did as she did it. But to me Nicole always finds a way to put herself first and foremost. I know many here do not agree. That's okay. People see things as they do and feel as they do. Not every character can be a favorite. But overall, I loved the dialogue in the Brady/Nicole scenes. Brady is angry and he is also emotionally spent. He invested everything in this relationship and now he sees how wrong he was to trust Nicole for a second. Nicole said she didn't use Brady. The hell she didn't. Oh Brady, I'm so sorry. I mistook love for gratitude. No way. She just used Brady 'til the anger toward Eric subsided and he showed he was willing to betray his brother for her. Wtih that said, I know there was more nuance to the story but that is the bottom line for me as a viewer. It really is a shame. Nicole has seemed to have character growth but AZ's exit probably made it easy to dirty the character up a little bit on the way out the door. Problem is, Eric got mud on himself too. I love GV and mostly always like Eric but he needs fixing before I will be on his side again.

Julie is one of my longtime faves. The Chloe/Julie collaboration is sure to be interesting. Chic and sophisticated meets hip and edgy. For myself I would rather the club be more chic than edgy. TBD was edgy and I think it's ugly. And I still want the name to be Doug's Place. This pair can provide some comedy which Days has not had in donkey years.

To me, this one of the best shows RC has produced.

LOL Brady’s line to Nicole... “All that passion, just overwhelmed the two of you? You had to do it? Yea?” Almost the same line Kristen said to John when they were talking in the Titan room where he and Marlena had sex on the conference table back in ‘93. That was a great scene, but not so much this one.
OMG I have no memory of this scene with John and Kristen! Anyone have a date or link?
I have the scene but can’t give a date, sorry. I was at some big party at Titan. Marlena was trying to get back with Roman and John was trying to get back with Kristen but she was married to Tony. Kristen and John were in the same conference room that J&M made love in. She was being bitchy and said something like..”isn’t this where you succumbed to your passion (with Marlena)?” And John shot back with: “What would you know about succumbing to passion?”
